I focus on senior and executive level HR search across SE Asia from our Singapore office. I will typically work with a global CHRO, Regional VP HR or Regional MD who are looking to make a leadership hire in their HR team. My client base constitutes multi-national corporations and particularly those who are in growth mode in the region and need support on identifying senior talent in emerging and developing markets across South East Asia.

Having lived and worked in the UK, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia and now Singapore I have had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of challenging and interesting roles. From being retained by a European luxury retailer in Hong Kong to manage a global search for multiple hires to a Tasmanian state-owned Enterprise retaining me to conduct a national search for a new GMHR and then to build the new HR team I thrive when able to invest totally in an assignment and work as an extension of my clients own HR team as a true business partner. My approach has always been to continually build my network and my ability to tap into that international network has really given me an edge when it comes to supporting clients on those hard to fill vacancies when they thought all stones had already been turned.

Having commenced my recruitment career in London in 2006 I have constantly sought to ensure I gain experience across functions, industries and geographies to enable me to bring a depth of knowledge as well as cultural understanding to the clients I partner with who themselves are multi-national in their makeup with a diversity of thought and workforce at their core.  With a background in recruiting the other positions that constitute a leadership team e.g. GM, CFO, CMO, Head of IT before becoming a HR specialist I believe my ability to assess HR talent against the broader requirements of a business allows me to successfully identify those who will be a success when give a ‘seat at the table’.

It won’t come as a surprise to know that travel and new experiences are the thing that makes life such an adventure. Whether that’s watching the British Lions in New Zealand, white collar boxing in Hong Kong, running a marathon in Vietnam or surviving a family Christmas back in Wales we learn something about ourselves every day and that’s what keeps things interesting!
