My client is an innovative and highly respected International organisation that operates across 66 countries working to educate and develop a vast network of candidates within performing arts, music and the English language. Steeped in history and established in their field they are a successful and commercial body looking to appoint a Director of People and Organisational Development.
As Director of People you will be responsible for developing and leading the global people agenda, working collaboratively with the Executive Directors, CEO and collective senior leadership teams across the business to understand the key business drivers, risks and opportunities from a people prospective and adapt the HR service delivery to meet these. You will lead on the global safeguarding across the business ensuring that all checks, processes and policies are followed and adhered to. The role offers the opportunity to drive and develop new frameworks with agile working, organisational development and employee engagement at the core.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership team you will lead on all people related issues working with a team of 7 across HR and facilities, coaching and developing their individual skills and directing their work so as to ensure the delivery of a expert and streamlined HR service. With International reach across India, China and EMEA this role with support the implementation of a fit for purpose HR platform within these countries, International or global experience will be key to this role. One of the key drivers in this role will be to create a less London centric position for HR and the business and develop a more global approach.
To be successful in this role you will have proven experience as an established Director level HR professional who has managed a HR team with an international remit. As a strong HR Generalist you will have created and delivered a people strategy within a growing organization using a commercial mindset covering the full employee lifecycle with a real focus on connecting business objectives to HR transformation. You will be able to demonstrate your excellent working knowledge of employment legislation and will have worked on UK and non-UK people processes and employee relations. Intellectually inquisitive, collaborative and being able to showcase your ability to be a influencer you will be able to drive a culture that is value led, diverse and highly ambitious. You will hold your MCIPD as an essential requirement.
