My client is a transformative and customer focused association with exciting plans ahead! They would like to appoint a Head of Learning and Development to continue the growth of the highly valued Learning and Development department in line with their next 5-year strategy.
As Head of Learning and Development you will lead the development and implementation of the L&D strategy. You will deliver this through a range of innovative, effective learning solutions allowing for positive investment that reflects best practice and will support business needs. Working in a high performing workforce you will continue to develop the capability of managers and employees and achieve a continued high level of employee engagement.
This role allows a senior L&D professional the opportunity to lead and build projects across line and leadership management training, Aspiring leader programmes and wider training matrix. You will work with stakeholders across the business to identify learning needs to not just deign but procure relevant learning initiatives and interventions that suit business needs and wider objectives. Looking after and empowering their employees whilst delivering excellent customer service there will be an emphasis on career development from succession planning to talent management across all levels. With 5 direct reports you will guide, manage and develop your team to successfully deliver the L&D offering.
As a driven, confident and creative Learning and Development professional with a commercial mindset. You will have the ability to shape and champion the application of company policy, procedures and frameworks. You will be a skilled influencer able to deliver with companywide impact an excellent learning and development strategy! This role will work closely with the CEO and report to the Global HR Director and experience working to this level will be essential. You will show the ability to be flexible in approach and hardworking being able to demonstrate your work through practical application and focused delivery.
You will have a proven track record of scoping and designing L&D programmes with proven results. You must be an accredited coach with experience coaching senior leaders to executive level. It will be essential to have key psychometric testing qualifications alongside a CIPD. You will use thought theory and have tried and tested methods that have been successful in your role as a Learning and Development Specialist. You will have expert knowledge of learning theories, frameworks, digital techniques and full L&D life cycle including advanced level L&D analysis. This role is not sector specific however, an understanding of working within a large complex organisation with a diverse workforce is essential, experience working within a Third sector organisation would be desirable but only with a employee workforce of over 2000.
