For one of the fastest growing companies in the world we are looking for a People Operations Manager. The People Operations Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, on/off boarding, policy implementation, affirmative action, employee contracts, onboarding, and data management and employment law compliance.

The company is an absolute hyper growth company so your personality and ambition has to fit the bill. High ambiguity, a lot of change and no structure in place are things you will have to cope with on a daily basis.

In the role you will lead the People Opertions Team and create people related strategy and execution. You report to the Director of People, Northern Europe to align business and HR strategies.

Quick scope:

  • Preparing executive and management reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Improving manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solutions
  • Help team members find their growth path within the company and envision their career
  • Coaching and counseling the managers and employees.
  • Shaping, defining and improving the company people processes towards process excellence
  • Completing special projects by clarifying project objectives; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions.
  • Good understanding of HR trends and innovations
  • Managing client expectations by communicating project status and issues; resolving concerns; analyzing time and cost issues; preparing reports

Your experience:

  • 5-7 years experience (proven track record) within an HR Operations or People operations department (Non-recruitment roles) and in-depth understanding of Dutch labor legislation
  • Strong leadership skills and a minimum of 3 years of experience managing a team
  • Working knowledge of the critical components of a successful HR department including employment law, performance management, resolving conflict, having difficult conversations, employee engagement, training, maintaining employee files, and managing operational budgets
  • Excellent communicators, fluent in Dutch & English with an acumen for business proficiency
  • Experience in a high demanding start-up or scale-up environment
  • Experience with setting up the HR function in a country from scratch
  • Experience with managing a large hourly workforce
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, changing and developing environment with changing structures and procedures
