About Our Client

Our client is a renowned FMCG brand in the household consumer domain. They are current market leaders in what they do globally and with the increasing affluence of the South-East Asia market, they have seen tremendous growth in this region. Given the demographics of their workforce, they have decided to shift their Regional HR Director - South East Asia position over to Thailand.


Job Description

This position reports into the Vice President of HR for Asia Pacific based in Singapore and dotted line into the Managing Director based out of Thailand. This role will work on building up HR within the organization for South East Asia with Thailand in particular focus. You will ensure the continuity of the strong employee relations between people on the ground & management and ensure good practices are followed upon. You will work alongside the senior management team to carve out Human Capital policies which would be instrumental in their growth and retention of key talents. Additionally, you will be part of the management team responsible to look into further expansion in the South East Asia markets. The role will encompass first understanding the current practices and the existing capabilities and how to strive towards operational excellence / stability before the focus will start to shift towards the organizational design.


The Successful Applicant

Ideally, this individual should come with minimum 5 years of HR leadership experience, having managed either a country or Asia portfolio in their careers. You should be someone who has high potential or ambition to eventually step up to the VP of HR APAC position eventually. Someone who possesses strong EQ and excellent stakeholder management skills would be highly desirable alongside the ability to understand and speak business with the management team. They will be undergoing some change management along the way as well and hence someone who has managed change either through M&As / Transformation / Culture, Mindset shifts etc would be fantastic for this position.
